Apprehending danger to their life and liberty, both petitioners who are in live-in relationship have filed the present petition with a prayer to direct official respondents to protect their life and liberty from respondents No. 4 to 6.

Both petitioners fell in love with each other and petitioner No. 1 told respondents No. 4 to 6 i.e. her family members, about her intention to marry petitioner No. 2 but respondent Nos. 4 to 6 were unhappy with the relationship and were extending threats to eliminate the petitioners. Thereafter petitioner No. 1 left her home and started residing with petitioner No. 2. Petitioners moved representation to respondent No.2 for protection of their life and liberty but to no avail.
