DEBTS RECOVERY TRIBUNAL-I, CHANDIGARH

NDN/ 242/2026(MA) SH HARDEEP SINGH Vs STATE BANK OF INDIA

03.07.2026 Item No.44

Present: None for the Applicant.

This matter is listed before undersigned owing to the reason that the applicant has failed to rectify the defects raised by the registry. Record reveals that the present application was filed on 31.01.2026, more than 5 months have already been passed, but till date applicant has not taken any steps to remove the defects raised by the registry. It seems that the applicant has lost its interest in prosecuting the present matter and for the said reason, they have not removed the defects raised by the registry. Sufficient opportunities have already been given to the applicant to remove the defects. “ Rule 5(4) of the DRT Procedure Rules reads as under:- “if the concerned applicant fails to rectify the defect within the time allowed in sub-rule (3), the Registrar may, by order and for reasons to be recorded in writing, decline to register the application.” Since the applicant has failed to rectify the defects within reasonable time, I find no reason to register the present application and accordingly the registration of present application is hereby declined. The applicants, if aggrieved, may file a chamber appeal before the Hon’ble Presiding Officer under Rule 5(5) of the DRT Procedure Rules within 15 days from the date of this order. File be consigned to record room.
