[2026:RJ-JP:35918-DB] (2 of 2) [HC-254/2026] Pursuant to order of this Court dated 25.08.2026, Rajendra Meena, C.I. and Ms. Saroj, MFC (8485), Police Station Narayan Vihar, District Jaipur City (South) have produced the missing girl- Ms. “P.C.” before us. Indisputably, she is major. On interaction, she stated that she is not in illegal detention; rather, is facing threatening of dire consequences including her murder from the hands of the petitioner and her other family members. Since, Ms. "P.C." is major, she is at liberty to go wherever she wants. On that premise, this habeas corpus petition is dismissed with a direction to the Police authorities to leave her safely at the place of her choice. They are also directed to record her statement forthwith and to take necessary action including registration of an FIR, if it discloses commission of a cognizable offence. They are further directed to ensure her safety, if required, after appreciating the threat perception. Pending application(s), if any, also stands disposed of.
