1. By way of filing this writ petition, petitioner has challenged order dated 04.01.2002, whereby petitioner was allegedly reverted from the post of Joint Legal Remembrancer to the post of Deputy Legal Remembrancer.

2. No one is present on behalf of the petitioner. The aforesaid matter is listed in the category of oldest matter with a note in the cause list that such matter shall not be adjourned.

3. Heard learned counsel for the respondent.

4. Learned counsel submitted that initially, the petitioner was promoted on the post of Joint Legal Remembrancer subject to review/revision provisionally and while conducting review/revision, it was found that two more persons, who were senior to the petitioner were left from being considered for promotion on the

[2026:RJ-JP:35282] (2 of 2) [CW-787/2002] post of Joint Legal Remembrancer, hence, their claims were better than the claim of the petitioner for promotion on the post of Joint Legal Remembrancer.

5. Learned counsel submits that in view of above, the petitioner was rightly posted again on the post of Deputy Legal Remembrancer.

6. In view of submissions made by learned counsel for the respondent, this Court does not find any ground to interfere in the instant writ petition and the same is hereby dismissed.

7. Pending application(s), if any, stand(s) dismissed. (ANAND SHARMA),J 2/Jatin
