Order

31/08/2026

1. Heard learned counsel for both parties and perused the record.

2. By means of instant writ petition, the petitioner claimed for grant of 25 bonus marks for the working experience gained during the Covid period and also prayed for grant of appointment on the post of Nursing Officer in the OBC Category in pursuance of the Advertisement dated 05.05.2023.

[2026:RJ-JP:34991] (2 of 2) [CW-16054/2024]

3. Learned Additional Government Counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents states that the petitioner has been given 15 bonus marks. It has also been submitted that as per the order dated 25.04.2023 issued by the Medical and Health Department, Government of Rajasthan, criteria for awarding bonus marks is as under:- ससववदद/

आवशयकअसथदईआधदरपरकदयरअववध

बबनसअसक

1. दबवररससकम

2. दबवररयदइसससअवधकवकनततततनवररससकम

3. ततनवररयदइसससअवधक

4. Undisputedly, the petitioner has rendered services for a period of less than two years, hence, he has been awarded 15 bonus marks. The claim of the petitioner for 25 bonus marks is misplaced as it does not fall in the criteria of awarding bonus marks as prescribed under the order dated 25.04.2023.

5. Since, the petitioner has been awarded 15 bonus marks, but thereafter he secured less marks i.e. 62.440 than the cut off marks in the OBC category i.e. 63.508. Hence, the prayer of the petitioner for granting appointment on the post of Nursing Officer is devoid of merits and same is hereby rejected.

6. Accordingly, the present writ petition is dismissed.

8. All pending application(s), if any, stand(s) disposed of. (GANESH RAM MEENA),J 84/Ashish Kumar
