This Criminal Petition is filed under Sections 480 & 483 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (for short ‘BNSS’) by the petitioner/accused No.7 seeking to enlarge him on bail in connection with Crime No.155 of 2026 of Nagole Police Station, Malkajgiri Commissionerate. The offences alleged against the petitioner are punishable under Sections 316 (5), 318 (5), 318 (4) read with 3 (5) of the BNS and Sections 3 and 5 of the Telangana Protection of Depositors of Financial Establishments Act, 1999.

wherein it is stated that the complainant met accused No.1 at an event conducted by Sridhar in Nagole and he introduced himself as a financial advisor and explained an investment opportunity in VR Trading, claiming that the company would provide a guaranteed monthly return of 10%. Though they were initially not interested, he continued with the complainant and strongly persuaded us to attend the company’s commercial launch at SVM Grand Hotel, Nagole. At that event, they met accused No.1, the CEO of VR Trading, who spoke about the company’s achievements. Believing the same, they invested amount in VR Trading Company. The allegation against this petitioner is that basing on the confessional statement of accused No.1 that he gave an amount of Rs.2.25 crores to the petitioner for investment. The petitioner herein is arrayed as accused No.7.

3. Heard Sri M.Prudhvi Raju, learned counsel for the petitioner/accused No.7 and Sri D.Arun Kumar, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, appearing for the respondent- State.

4. The contention of learned counsel for the petitioner-accused No.7 is that he is innocent of the offences alleged against him; that none of the allegations in the

complaint do attract the offences alleged against the petitioner; that the petitioner is no way connected with the complainant or the victims; that only basing on the confessional statement of the accused No.1, the petitioner has been erroneously arrayed as accused No.7 in this case; that he has been in judicial custody from 19.06.2026; that material part of the investigation is completed; that the prime accused were already released on bail and hence, he prays this Court to grant regular bail to the petitioner.

5. On the other hand, learned Additional Public Prosecutor opposed the same and submits that the offences alleged against the petitioner are serious in nature and huge amount relating to victims is involved in this case and hence, the petitioner is not entitled for grant of bail and hence, he prays to dismiss the petition.

6. Considering the submissions made by learned counsel for petitioner and learned Additional Public Prosecutor, the petitioner has been in judicial custody from 19.06.2026. The allegation against the petitioner is that, accused No.1 gave an amount of Rs.2.25 crores to the petitioner for investment. There is no such allegation against the petitioner that he persuaded the victims to invest the

amount. The record further shows that L.Ws.2 to 27 were already examined. Considering the nature of allegations, period of incarceration and progress in investigation, this Court is inclined to grant bail to the petitioner-accused No.7 subject to the following conditions:

(i) The petitioner-accused No.7 shall execute a personal bond for a sum of Rs.25,000/- (Rupees Twenty Five Thousand only) with two sureties for a like sum each to the satisfaction of the learned I Additional District and Sessions Judge, Ranga Reddy District at L.B.Nagar.

(iii) The petitioner-accused No.7 shall abide by the conditions stipulated in Section 437 (3) of Cr.P.C. (presently, Section 480 (3) of BNSS).

7. Accordingly, the Criminal petition is allowed.
