Late Bhumesh about 15 years ago and they have a son aged about 12 years. It is stated that about one year ago, the petitioner, a resident of nearby colony, came into contact with her and told that he was unmarried person and he promised to marry her. Believing his words, she trusted him, shared her personal life with him and gradually paid an amount of Rs.6,00,000/- in installments. During the last six months, they had physical relations. Thereafter, the complainant insisted the petitioner to marry her, he started avoiding her and subsequently she came to know that he was already married. It is stated that about 10 days ago when she questioned him regarding his marriage, he assaulted her, abused her and threatened that he would neither marry her nor return her money. On 24.04.2026, while he was at her house, the wife of the petitioner along with unknown persons, forcibly entered into their house, assaulted her, abused her in filthy language and threatened her to vacate the house. While leaving the house, the wife of the petitioner took away the complainant’s Samsung Smartphone and half tula gold chain from the table. Hence, she requested the police to take necessary action on the complaint. Basing on the same, police

registered a case against the petitioner for the aforesaid offences.

3. Heard Ms.R.Sindhulatha, learned counsel for the petitioner/accused No.1 and Sri D.Arun Kumar, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, appearing for the respondent- State.

4. The contention of learned counsel for the petitioner is that the petitioner is innocent of the offences alleged against him; that whatever relationship between the parties is voluntary in nature; that the petitioner has been in judicial custody from 26.05.2026; that material part of the investigation is completed, as such requested the Court to grant regular bail to the petitioner.

5. On the other hand, learned Additional Public Prosecutor opposed the same and submits that the offences alleged against the petitioner are serious and heinous in nature; that investigation is not yet completed and charge sheet is also not filed and hence, he requested the Court to dismiss the petition.

6. Considering the submissions made by learned counsel for petitioner and learned Additional Public Prosecutor, the petitioner has been in judicial custody from
