Order

11/02/2026

Learned Counsel, Ms. Adwitiya Chakrabarti is present on behalf of the petitioner. Learned GA, Mr. Kohinoor N. Bhattacharyya is present on behalf of the respondents-State and Learned Counsel, Mr. Kundan Pandey is present on behalf of the respondents-TPSC.

It is the case of the petitioner that he appeared in the TCS, Grade-II Examination against the Advertisement No.04/2016

(Annexure-1). He got qualified in the written examination and was asked to appear in the Interview which was held on 10.11.2025 along with NOC issued by the Department. Thereafter, vide notification dated 16.12.2025, the TPSC published the result of the examination but the petitioner was not qualified. The TPSC also issued another notification on 08.12.2025 wherein it was informed to collect the score summary of the candidates who appeared in the Main Examination and in the Interview process for recruitment to the TCS and TPS, Grade-II against the said advertisement from the Commission’s office from 12.01.2026 to 25.02.2026 (Annexure-8). It is the further case of the petitioner that in pursuance of the said notification, no information was furnished to the petitioner.

However, at the time of hearing, Learned Counsel for the petitioner failed to satisfy the Court showing any documentary evidence on record that the petitioner approached to the TPSC, which was rejected by the TPSC to supply the requisite information.

So, in absence of any such rejection, there is no scope on the part of this Court to pass any effective order and to entertain the present petition. Moreso, the time period fixed by the TPSC by notification dated 08.12.2025 has not yet been expired. As such, I find no force in the submission made by Learned Counsel for the petitioner.

Accordingly, the instant writ petition stands dismissed. However, the petitioner may approach to the TPSC to collect the information within the stipulated period of time as per the said notification dated 08.12.2025. Only in the event of rejection of his request, his right will accrue to proceed as per law.

With this observation, the present writ petition stands disposed of.

Pending application(s), if any, also stands disposed of.
