Petitioner has filed the present writ petition seeking a direction to respondent No.1-Nagar Nigam, Almora, to make payment of family pension and other retiral dues payable to her late husband, Kripal.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that her husband was working with respondent No.1-Nagar Nigam, Almora (then Nagar Palika Parishad, Almora) as Sweeper/Paryavaran Mitra and, after completion of his services, he retired on 30.06.1995. However, the husband of the petitioner met with a sad demise on 11.03.2008.

6. Accordingly, the writ petition is finally disposed of, with a direction to respondent no.1-Nagar Nigam, Almora/Municipal Commissioner, to take a decision on the petitioner’s representations dated 24.07.2025 and 15.12.2025 (annexure nos.4 & 5 to the writ petition) within a period of two months from the date of production of a certified copy of this order, sympathetically and after examining all aspects of the matter in accordance with law.
