Mr. Yogesh Pandey, Deputy AG, for the State.

Petitioner has challenged an order, passed by Deputy Registrar, Firms, Societies and Chits, Haridwar on 16.7.2026. It is contended that Deputy Registrar is not competent to disturb the election of a society.

Learned State Counsel, however, pointed out that Deputy Registrar has not disturbed the election, but the election was disturbed by the Prescribed Authority, who exercised power under Section 25 of Societies Registration Act, 1860.

Learned Counsel for the petitioner then seeks permission to withdraw the writ petition with liberty to challenge the order passed by the Prescribed Authority.

Accordingly, writ petition is dismissed as withdrawn with the liberty sought for.
