WPMS/1611/2020

Jitendra Diwakar --Petitioner Versus State Of Uttarakhand --Respondent

Hon’ble Manoj Kumar Tiwari, J. Mr. Jaswant Singh, Advocate holding brief of Mr. Vipul Sharma, Advocate for the petitioner. Mr. Akshit Gururani and Mr. C.S. Joshi, Brief Holder for the State.

2. Petitioner’s application for caste certificate was rejected on the ground that sufficient documents were not furnished along with the application. Thus feeling aggrieved, petitioner has approached this Court challenging rejection order dated 18.01.2020.

3. This Court is not inclined to interfere in the impugned order, as every person applying for caste certificate is required to furnish necessary documents to support his claim.

4. However, the writ petition is disposed of with liberty to petitioner to make fresh application. Fresh application, if made, shall be considered, as per law.

(Manoj Kumar Tiwari, J.) 12.08.2026 Mahinder
