1. Heard learned counsel for the applicant and learned A.G.A for the State as also perused the record.
2. This application under Section 529 BNSS has been filed seeking direction to the court concerned for early disposal of Criminal Case No. 1663 of 2019 (State Vs. Devendra), arising out of Case Crime No. 227 of 2018, under Sections- 323, 504, 506 I.P.C., Police Station- Shahganj, District- Agra, pending before the Special CJM, Agra.
3. Learned counsel for the applicant submits that the trial has pending since the year 2019 and considerable time has already been lapsed. It is next submitted that statement of P.W.2 has been completed and only statement of doctor has to be examined by the prosecution.
4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this application is finally disposed of with a direction to the court concerned to decide the aforesaid case in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of one year from the date of presentation of a certified copy of this order, without granting any unnecessary or long adjournments to either of the parties, if there is no other legal impediment.
