Heard Dr.A.Raghu Kumar, learned Counsel for the Applicant and Mr.B.Siva Sankar, Additional Standing Counsel for the Respondents.

2. Counsel for the Applicant contends that after passing of the penalty order dated 14.06.2019 as a consequence of the disciplinary proceedings, the Applicant filed an Appeal dated 20.07.2019. However, 5 months have elapsed and the Respondents-Department has not disposed of the said appeal which has been filed within the prescribed period.
3. The O.A. is disposed of at the admission stage without going into the merits with a direction to the Respondents-Department to dispose of the Appeal pending with the Respondents-Department within a period of 2 months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this Order.
4. No order as to costs.
