IN THE DEBT RECOVERY APPELLATE TRIBUNAL AT CHENNAI

IA 1393/2026 (Waier) in A.IR:2668/2026

M/s D & A Corporate Residency Pvt Ltd & anr V/S Canara Bank & anr 22/10/2026

Order pronounced (vide separate order) in open court. When there are multiple Appeals, pre deposit in one of them enures the benefit to other Appeals, provided that the debt is the same. In this case, the debt due is the same and that is challenged in all the three Appeals. Therefore, this Tribunal is of the view that the pre deposit made in RA (SA) 46/2025 and RA (SA) 47/2025 is to be treated as pre deposit in this Appeal. There is no need to make separate pre deposit. Thus, this Application is allowed. Registry is directed to number the appeal, if it is otherwise in order. It is informed by the Learned Counsel for the Petitioners that the Respondents are trying to register the sale certificate. In view of allowing of the Waiver Application and also ordering to number the Appeal, the parties are directed to maintain Status Quo, as on today. Post the case on 30.10.2026.
