This Tribunal, on 16.9.2026, passed an order directing the Respondent Financial Institution to pay costs of Rs.1,000/- to the Library of DRT / DRAT Bar Association, Chennai on or before 30.9.2026 for granting time to file counter, in view of the reason that having failed to file the counter during the course of the day, and later sought time. The cost was not paid, as ordered, on or before 30.9.2026.
When the matter was again taken up on 15.10.2026, Learned Counsel for the Respondent Financial Institution submitted that the date of payment was not noted and, therefore, the cost was not paid on or before 30.9.2026, and an extension application was filed for cost compliance.
The reason stated that the date of payment was not noted is not an acceptable reason. However, with a view to give an opportunity to agitate MA Nos. 58 of 2026 (Modification) and 59 of 2026 (Pre-deposit Refund) in RA (SA) 101 of 2013, the extension application IA 1576 of 2026 is allowed, subject to payment of additional costs of Rs.1,000/-, i.e., Rs.2,000/- in total, to be paid to the Library of DRT / DRAT Bar Association, Chennai, on or before 30.10.2026.
