CENTRAL ADMINISTRATIVE TRIBUNAL SRINAGAR Order Sheet Item no.: 22 O.A./637/2026 (SRINAGAR) [ SUSPENSION ] Court No.: 2 No of Adjournment: 4 Order Dated: 22/10/2026 MAJID CHOUDHARY Vs REVENUE DEPARTMENT

For Applicant(s) Advocate : M/S. HOWRAH SHOWKAT & MS. REHMAT VICE MS. SEHREEN ZEHRA

For Respondent(s) Advocate : RAIS UD DIN GANAI - DAG Order of The Tribunal 01/ Various detailed orders were passed by the court in this matter from time to time sensitizing the respondents about the law laid down by the apex court and the High Court in a catenae of judgements delivered in cases titled as Ajay Kumar and others versus Union of India and others, Ashok Kumar and others versus Union of India and others and Balbir Singh versus State of J&K and others, whereunder it has been categorically held that prologed suspension is punitive. 02/ Matter came up for consideration today and learned counsel for the respondents submitted that, in terms of earlier direction, he has filed the status report/compliance, whereunder it has been averred that the case of the petitioner will be placed before the Review Committee without fail. It is made clear that in the event case of the petitioner is not placed before the already constituted Review Committee, as warranted under law, necessary orders in accordance with law will follow. 03/ List for consideration on 04-11-2026.
