ORDER

Asserting that a male child born to one Ms.Kaleeshwari was adopted by the petitioner without following the procedure prescribed under the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act and the regulations framed thereunder, the petitioner seeks consideration of representation dated 07.07.2026 to regularise the adoption.

2. In response, the learned Special Government Pleader submits that an FIR was lodged in Crime No.335 of 2026 before the Kovilpatti West Police Station on the ground that the petitioner had purchased the child for a sum of Rs.5,00,000/-.

3. Given the nature of complaint made against the petitioner, the request to regularise the purported adoption cannot be acceded to. Therefore, this writ petition is dismissed. This order will not, however, stand in the way of the petitioner applying for adoption in accordance with the statute. No costs. 27-10-2026 Index: Yes/No Speaking/Non-speaking order Neutral Citation: Yes/No PKN
