PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents herein to grant permission for playing speakers and conducting Pal Kudam (Milk Hot) procession in the eve of 119th Anniversary of Pasumpon Muthuramalingam Thevar scheduled on 29.10.2026 from 07.00 a.m. from Rajiv Gandhi Nagar, O. Sirvuvayal and ends at Pasumpon Thevar Statue, New-Bus Stand, Karaikudi in accordance with law on the basis of the representations dated 25.09.2026
and 08.10.2026 and pass such other or further orders as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper and thus render justice.

ORDER
The writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to grant permission for playing speakers and conducting a Pal Kudam (milk pot) procession on 29.10.2026, in connection with the 119th birth anniversary of Pasumpon Muthuramalingam Thevar, commencing from Rajiv Gandhi Nagar, O. Siruvayal, at 07.00 a.m. and culminating at the Pasumpon Thevar Statue near the New Bus Stand, Karaikudi, based on the petitioner's representations dated 25.09.2026 and 08.10.2026.
2. Heard Mr.G.Vishnuram, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, and Mr.D.Rajaboopathy, learned Counsel for the State of Tamil Nadu (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondents.
3. Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for in this writ petition, the respondents are directed to consider the petitioner's representations dated 25.09.2026 and 08.10.2026 and pass appropriate orders forthwith, in accordance with law.
