ORDER

The petitioner asserts that he served in the Indian Army for 24 years. He also states that he was using a pathway in Survey No.573 to access his agricultural land for a considerable period of time. Asserting that encroachments have been made on the said land, thereby impeding access to his agricultural land, the petitioner has approached this Court.

2. On behalf of the respondents, it is submitted that Survey No.573 is classified in the revenue records as Government Poramboke land. Learned counsel for the respondents also submits that appropriate action would be taken in terms of the Tamil Nadu Land Encroachment Act, 1905, in case it is found that there are encroachments.

WP(MD) No. 28573 of 2026

3. By recording the said statement, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the Tahsildar to undertake an inspection/survey of the property and thereafter take appropriate measures in accordance with law if it were to be found that there are encroachments on the land. No costs. 26-10-2026 Index: Yes/No Speaking/Non-speaking order Neutral Citation: Yes/No PKN To
