ORDER
After applying for the renewal of his passport on 01.07.2026, the petitioner has approached this Court for a direction in that regard.
2. Mrs.T.Saroja, learned Central Government Standing Counsel, accepts notice for the first respondent. Mrs.V.Moushica, learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side), accepts notice for the second respondent.
3. On instructions, learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) for the second respondent submits that no charge sheet was filed pursuant to Crime No.118 of 2025.
4. In view of the above position, there is no impediment to the consideration of the request for renewal of passport. Consequently, the first respondent is directed to consider and dispose of the petitioner’s application for renewal of the passport within three (3) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
