PRAYER: Writ Petition, filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to conduct and survey demarcation work on the petitioner’s land Property namely a Plot bearing Plot No.20 comprised in Survey Nos.
113/1A and 113/1B1B measuring about 4500 Sq. Ft. approximately the total extent of 10 cents 144 Sq. Ft. situated at Chettikulam Village Madurai North Taluk, Madurai and consequently direct the Respondents to issue Patta in her favour with respect to the above land property based on the petitioner’s Survey and Patta Applications dated 14.10.2025 and 26.08.2026 within a time frame as fixed by this Court.

ORDER
The present Writ Petition has been filed in the nature of a Writ of Mandamus seeking for a direction to the respondents to conduct and survey demarcation work in respect of the petitioner’s property bearing Plot No.20 comprised in Survey Nos. 113/1A and 113/1B1B measuring about 4500 Sq. Ft. approximately situated at Chettikulam Village Madurai North Taluk, Madurai and consequently direct the Respondents to issue Patta in her favour with respect to the above land property based on the petitioner’s Survey and Patta Applications dated 14.10.2025 and 26.08.2026.
2. Heard Mr.B.Prahalad Ravi, learned Counsel for the petitioner and Mr.S.Siva Thilakar, learned Special Government Pleader, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents. By consent of both parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3. Considering the limited scope of prayer sought in the Writ Petition, this Court is inclined to issue the following directions:
WP(MD) No. 30199 of 2026 “The first respondent is directed to consider the applications of the petitioner, dated 14.10.2025 and 26.08.2026 on merits and after affording sufficient opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and all interested parties, if any, shall pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.”
