ORDER

Heard both sides.

2. The second respondent has produced the detenue before us. She is aged about 20 years. She is studying in the third year of B.Com in Government Arts College, Melur. She is presently with her aunt/Segammal. We are satisfied that she has attained majority. We wanted to know as to why she is not with her father and the detenue informed us that since her father got her married against her will, she does not want to be with her father. We are satisfied that the detenue is not being detained against her own will. She has stated that she is residing on her own in a private hostel. It is not a case of illegal detention. There is no merit in this habeas corpus petition and it stands dismissed. (G.R.S.,J.) (P.M.N.,J.) 23-10-2026 Index: Yes/No Speaking/Non-speaking order Neutral Citation: Yes/No IAS __________
