2. Learned Additional Advocate General has placed on record communication dated 24.10.2026, whereby it has been informed that Municipal Corporation Shimla has passed a speaking order dated 29.09.2026 counting the contract service of 26 petitioners towards pension benefits in compliance with government directions. After placing this order on record through a compliance affidavit, this Court disposed of an identical matter being COPC No. 800/2026 vide order dated 30.09.2026, which also covers the case of the present petitioners.

3. The relevant portion of the judgment as passed by Coordinate Bench of this Court in COPC No.800 of 2026, reads as follows:

“Considering the matter in above perspective, this Court gives a quietus to the instant petition; with directions to the Respondents to ensure implementation of judgment dated 04.09.2024 [Annexure-A]; and to release the admissible benefits, if any, in letter and spirit, expeditiously, but not later than 30.11.2026, after completing all codal formalities, so as to enforce the mandate of the Hon'ble Supreme Court in the case of Sheela Devi [supra], to the petitioner herein”.

4. Consequently, in view of the above, the present petitions are disposed of with directions to the respondents to ensure implementation of judgments in question, and to release the admissible benefits, if any, in letter and spirit, expeditiously, but not later than 30.11.2026, after completing all codal formalities, so as to enforce the mandate of the Hon’ble Supreme Court in State of Himachal Pradesh & Anr. Vs Sheela Devi, SLP(Civil) No.10399/2020, decided on 07.08.2023 to the petitioners herein.

5. At this stage, it is contended by the learned counsel for the petitioner(s) that he may be granted liberty to revive the instant petition in case any of the grievances of the petitioner(s) still remains unredressed. Liberty granted.

6. Accordingly, the present petitions are closed with liberty as prayed for. Notice discharged.

7. Pending application(s), if any, shall also stand disposed of.
