PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the Respondents 1, 6 and 7 to ensure them to conduct the Balalayam on 11.11.2026 (25th day of the Tamil month of Aippasi) and the subsequent Thirukkudamuzhukku/Maha Kumbabishekam between 15.05.2027 to 14.06.2027 (Tamil month of Vaikasi) at their clan’s private family temples situated at Thelungapatty, Porundalur Village, Kulithalai Taluk, Karur District in accordance with Hindu rites and rituals and also directing the Respondents 5 and 8 to take suitable measures for conducting the said festival in peaceful manner by considering the petitioner’s representation dated 03.10.2026.

ORDER
Heard both sides.
2. The case on hand pertains to conducting Balalayam as well as Kumbabishekam for the petition mentioned Temple. It appears that there are factional disputes in the village. A Fit Person has already taken charge.
3. The learned Counsel representing the Fit Person states that the Fit Person will conduct the Balalayam as well as Kumbabishekam as expeditiously as possible after getting approval from the jurisdictional Commissioner.
4. The petitioner’s Counsel states that the petitioner is willing to bear the expenses and also makes it clear that the petitioner will not seek any formal recognition.
5. If funds are available, the department cannot sit over the proposal. The entire process has to be fast-tracked. __________
