PRAYER: This petition filed under Section 528 of BNSS to issue a direction to the first and second respondents, particularly the Inspector of Police, Muthaiyapuram Police Station, Thoothukudi, to consider the petitioner’s representation/complaint and the materials collected in Crime No.677 of 2026, to conduct a fair and proper investigation, and, if the allegations and evidence disclose offences other than or in addition to the sections presently invoked, to take appropriate action for alteration of the FIR/sections of law in accordance with law and to file the necessary alteration report before the jurisdictional Court.

ORDER
The present petition has been filed by the defacto complainant in Cr.No.677 of 2026 on the file of the second respondent police station seeking a direction to the concerned jurisdictional police to conduct a fair and proper investigation and to add additional sections and to initiate appropriate action for alteration of the FIR.
2. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondents police submitted that the final report has been filed before the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Thoothukudi on 15.10.2026 for the alleged offences under Sections 296(b), 115(2), 79, 324(4), 351(2) of BNS, 2023.
3. In such view of the matter, the petitioner is at liberty to approach the concerned Court at the appropriate time for inclusion of any further sections.
