ORDER

The present petition has been filed seeking a direction to the first respondent to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner.

2. According to the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, he had filed a suit in O.S.No.112 of 2010 before the learned District Munsif- cum-Judicial Magistrate, Orathanadu, seeking a decree of permanent

CRL OP(MD) No. 23945 of 2026 injunction restraining the defendants from interfering with his possession of the property. The suit was decreed in his favour, and the decree was confirmed in the first appeal and subsequently by this Court in the second appeal in S.A. (MD) No. 438 of 2021. However, the private respondents herein are allegedly continuing to threaten the petitioner and compel him to vacate the property. Hence, the petitioner submitted a representation to the respondent police on 11.09.2026. As there was no response to the said representation, the present petition has been filed.

3. In view of the above, the respondent police are directed to consider the complaint lodged by the petitioner, conduct an enquiry, and, if any cognizable offence is made out, proceed in accordance with law.

4. With the said observations, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of. 16-10-2026 Index: Yes/No Speaking/Non-speaking order Neutral Citation: Yes/No gvn
