Order
This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents one and two to consider the representation dated 04.09.2026 and dispose of the same.
2. The petitioner claims lawful ownership and possession of land in Survey No. 931/6, situated at Thakkolam Village, Arakkonam Taluk, Ranipet District, covered under Joint Patta No. 574, which he purchased through a registered document. To protect his property boundaries, the petitioner submitted a Land Measurement Application on 14.02.2026 to the Tahsildar . However, during an official survey attempt on 15.05.2026, neighbouring landowners Naagappan and Ramesh respondents 3 and 4 unlawfully obstructed and halted the measurement proceedings. Despite sending a follow-up representation on 04.09.2026, no action has been taken by the respondents. Constrained by the same, the petitioner has approached this Court by filing this writ petition.

3. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents one and two submitted that if a specific time frame is fixed by this Court, the respondents one and two will consider the petitioner’s representation and pass appropriate orders on its own merits and in accordance with law.
4. Heard both sides and perused the materials available on record.
5. Since no order prejudicial to the interest of the respondents three and four is to be passed in this writ petition, notice to the respondents three and four is dispensed with and this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
6. Since the core issue involved in this writ petition is consideration of the representation, this Court directs the second respondent to consider the petitioner’s representation dated 14.02.2026 and pass orders on the same within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, on its own merits and in accordance with law, after providing an opportunity of hearing to all the parties concerned.

7. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner. If there is any dispute relating to the title or inter-se civil rights over the property, the parties are at liberty to approach the competent Civil Court for appropriate relief.
