ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the 2nd respondent to issue a joint patta in respect of the petitioners’ property comprised in Block No.41, Survey No.1/1, Urur Village, Velachery Taluk, Chennai District, measuring an extent of 11-95-9.5/4508 sq.ft., by subdividing the property in accordance with the orientation sketch issued by the 1st respondent on 16.10.2025, by considering the petitioners’ online application dated 18.08.2026, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

2. The grievance of the petitioners is that, though they are the co-owners of four flats bearing Nos.M-23/1 to M-23/4 situated at Block No.41, Survey No.1/1, Urur Village, Velachery Taluk, Chennai District, and have submitted an online application dated 18.08.2026, along with the requisite documents and statutory fees, seeking subdivision and transfer of patta in respect of their respective properties, the respondents have failed to process their applications and issue separate patta, despite the field inspections and preparation of orientation sketches having been completed. Hence, the present writ petition.

3. Mr.P.Elayarajkumar, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the 2nd respondent, submitted that if a specific time frame is fixed by this Court, the petitioners’ online application dated 18.08.2026 will be considered and
