PRAYER: Writ Petition, filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st and 2nd respondents to consider the petitioner's representations dated 05.09.2020, 02.01.2025
and 10.07.2025, which were forwarded to the 2nd respondent vide letters dated 21.09.2020, 23.01.2025, 24.07.2025 and on 10.07.2025 of the 3rd respondent and promote/ upgrade the petitioner to the post of Assistant Executive Engineer (Equipment and Maintenance) by upgrading the present post of Junior Engineer (CSSD), Govt. Rajaji Hospital, Madurai with effect from the date of petitioner's eligibility i.e. 26.05.2020 and grant the attended service and monetary benefits within a time lime to be fixed by this Court.

ORDER
The petitioner has submitted several representations seeking promotion to the post of Assistant Executive Engineer (Equipment and Maintenance) and has filed this writ petition for a mandamus to give him promotion based on his representations.
2. When this writ petition is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate by referring to the orders of the Director of Medical Education and Research, Chennai, dated 12.10.2026 in Ref.No.69835/E5/3/2026 submits that the petitioner's request has been rejected as he is not eligible for being promoted as Assistant Executive Engineer (Equipment and Maintenance).
3. Recording the above submission and considering the scope of the writ petition, this writ petition is closed with liberty to the petitioner to work out his remedy in the manner known to law. No costs. 16-10-2026 DSK
