ORDER
Asserting that Passport No.M7375237, which was obtained on 11.03.2015, expired on 10.03.2025, the petitioner applied for renewal thereof. The present Writ Petition relates thereto.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner obtained an emergency travel passport bearing No.X1137169 from the Indian Embassy in Malaysia and returned to India using the said passport. He also submits that there is no criminal case against the petitioner.
3. Mr.S.Selvakumar, learned Central Government Standing Counsel, accepts notice for the sole respondent.
4. Considering the above facts and circumstances, without expressing any opinion on the merits, this Writ Petition is disposed of by directing the respondent to consider the petitioner's application for re-issuance of Passport No. M7375237 and dispose of the said application within 3 months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
