PRAYER:
Writ Petition, filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this court to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the Respondent to issue patta in the names of the legal heirs of the deceased Palaniyammal property situated in Ayan Punjai Survey No.223/1A, Muduvarpatti Village, Vadipatti Taluk, Madurai District, measuring 2 1/2 cents and by dispose petitioner's mother Application dated 11.11.2025 within the time limit that may be stimulated by this Court.

ORDER
Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the Respondent.
2. This Writ Petition is filed for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the Respondent to issue patta in the names of the legal heirs of the deceased Palaniyammal property situated in Ayan Punjai
WP(MD) No. 29980 of 2026 Survey No.223/1A, Maduvarpatti Village, Vadipatti Taluk, Madurai District, measuring 2 ½ cents and by dispose the petitioner's mother Application dated 11.11.2025.
3. Even though the petitioner's mother had made an online application and is no more, the petitioner, being the legal heir, could prosecute the said application. Accordingly, there shall be a direction to the respondent to consider the online application made by the petitioner's mother dated 11.11.2025 and dispose of the same on its own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and other interested persons, if any.
