PRAYER: Writ Petition, filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this court to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents herein to include petitioners’ name in the final voter list published by the respondent NO. 5 on 13.06.2026 for the administrative committee member election scheduled to be held on 25.10.2026 and consequently permit the petitioners herein to cast their vote in the above proposed election irrespective of ex-communication letter dated 17.08.2026 passed by respondent no. 5 by considering the petitioners’
objection letter dated 24.09.2026 and representation dated 05.10.2026.

ORDER
The petitioners’ grievance is that their names were deleted from the final voters list published by the fifth respondent.
2. Mr.P.Pethu Rajesh, learned Additional Government Pleader, accepts notice for respondents 1 and 3. Mr.D.S.Haroon Rasheed, learned Standing Counsel, accepts notice for respondents 2, 4 and 5. Mrs.H.Jasima Yasmin, learned counsel, accepts notice for the sixth respondent.
3. Learned counsel for the sixth respondent submits that the petitioners do not belong to the Sunnathul Jamaath and instead, belong to the Tamil Nadu Thouheed Jamaath.
4. Learned Standing Counsel for respondents 2, 4 and 5 submits that only the persons belonging to the Sunnathul Jamaath are entitled to vote as per the Scheme framed for the Jamaath.
5. Considering the above submissions and taking note of the fact that the election is scheduled to be held on 24.10.2026, the fourth respondent is directed to consider the petitioners’ request for inclusion of
WP(MD) No. 29998 of 2026 their names in the final voters list and dispose of the same in accordance with the Scheme on or before 22.10.2026.
