ORDER
Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side.
2. This Writ Petition is filed for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the 4th Respondent to consider the Petitioner's representation dated 24.08.2026 forwarded by the 1st Respondent vide proceedings dated 18.09.2026 in O.MU.A2/13148/2026 seeking issuance of Patta in the Petitioner's name in respect of the house-site comprised in S.No.549/19, Porundalur Village, Kulithalai Taluk, Karur District, measuring an extent of 0-00.5 Ares.
3. Considering the fact that an order of assignment has been granted in favour of the petitioner and that the said assignment has been acted upon by the petitioner, who has put up a construction and is residing therein, as evidenced by the statutory receipts produced by him, the 4th respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's claim for grant of patta, based on his representation dated 24.08.2026, by
WP(MD) No. 30224 of 2026 taking into consideration the order of assignment. The 4th respondent shall also take into consideration the proceedings of the District Collector dated 18.09.2026 in O.Mu.A2/13148/2026, whereby the petitioner's representation dated 24.08.2026 was forwarded to the 4th respondent, and dispose of the said representation on its own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and any other interested persons, if any.
4. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
