ORDER

The present Contempt Petition has been filed alleging willful and wanton disobedience of the order of this Court dated 24.06.2026 passed in W.P. No. 23968 of 2026.

2. This Court, while passing the order on 24.06.2026, had observed as follows:-

6. In the case on hand, it appears that there are two sale deeds executed in respect of the subject properties. Though it was not challenged in the manner known to law, subsequently, it was cancelled by the Revenue Tahsildar, which is evident from the proceedings dated 11.12.2025 in Na.Ka.No.3940/2025/A2. Such being the case, the respondent ought to have issued notice to all the parties concerned; conducted enquiry and thereafter, decided the matter. However, in the present case, neither any notice nor an opportunity of personal hearing was provided. Hence, the impugned order dated 12.05.2026 passed by the respondent is liable to be set aside. Accordingly, the same is hereby set aside. Consequently, this Court directs the petitioner to re-present the sale deed dated 12.03.2026 before the respondent within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy

CONT P No. 3793 of 2026 of this order. Upon such receipt, the respondent is directed to pass appropriate order for registration of sale deed dated 12.03.2026, after issuing due notice and opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner and other aggrieved parties, if any, within a period of eight weeks thereof.

3. The learned Additional Advocate General appearing for the respondent submits that in the present case, an enquiry was conducted, and thereafter, a detailed order was passed rejecting the registration of the sale deeds since there was a dispute regarding the title deed.

4. In response, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that challenging the said rejection order, the petitioner has once again filed another Writ Petition. Now, the grievance of the petitioner is that without conducting a proper enquiry, the impugned order refusing to register the sale deed was passed.

5. Such being the case, the petitioner is directed to raise all these issues before the Writ Court, where the rejection order has been challenged. In the event that the Writ Court comes to the conclusion that the impugned rejection order was passed without providing an opportunity of hearing, there would then be scope for filing a Contempt Petition.

6. At this stage, the petition is premature. Accordingly, this Contempt Petition is dismissed. However, liberty is granted to the petitioner to revive this Contempt Petition, if necessary, at a later stage. 15-10-2026 Asi To K.P.Anithaveni, Sub- Registrar, Gangavalli Sub- Registrar office, 192A/24 Kadampur Main Road, Salem 636 105.
