Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India issuing writ of certiorarified mandamus to call for the records of the 7th Respondent dated 25.03.2025 vide Na.Ka.No.503/RTI/2025 and quash the same as illegal, improper and against law in so far as the reasons adduced for not removing the illegal encroachment stated in the report and consequently direct the 3rd respondent to remove the encroachments in the government lands as found in the above report dated 25.03.2025 as against the private respondents and also direct the

ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by S.M.Subramaniam J.) Writ petition has been instituted seeking removal of encroachments.
2. Learned Special Government Pleader, on instructions by the Tahsildar, Ponneri by letter dated 14.10.2026 would submit that already directions have been issued to the Field Surveyor, Minjur Firka and the Revenue Inspector to survey the subject lands, identify the existing encroachments and submit a detailed report along with the colour coded sketch without delay.
3. Since Tahsildar already initiated action for conducting survey, all further actions are directed to be continued. In view of the submission made by the learned Special Government Pleader, official respondents are directed to complete the survey and initiate enforcement actions. If

any encroachments are identified, the same shall be removed by following the procedures as contemplated under the relevant statutes and rules in force. The entire exercise is directed to be completed within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
