Common Order

(Order of the Court was made by S.M.Subramaniam J.) The writ petitions have has been instituted to direct the 1st respondent to dispose of the revision dated 29.06.2026 filed by the petitioner against the Na.Ka.No.7141/2025/Uu2 dated 26.06.2026 on the file of the 2nd respondent and also direct the respondents 2 and 3 not to evict the petitioner till the disposal of the revision petition.

2. Admittedly, the said encroachments have already been removed by the competent authorities after passing an appellate order by the District Collector under Section 10 of the Act. Thus, further revision filed deserves no merit consideration, since encroachments have already been removed.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioners would submit that petitioners claims patta in respect of the land.

4. If so, the petitioners have to approach the competent authority under Tamil Nadu Patta Pass Book Act, 1983 for seeking a patta. However, revision filed under Tamil Nadu Land Encroachments Act, 1905 becomes infructuous, on account of the fact that encroachments

have already been removed.

5. With the above observation, the present writ petitions stand disposed of. No costs. Consequently, the connected petitions, if any, are closed. (S.M.S.,J.) (R.R.V.,J.) 15-10-2026 Index: Yes/No Speaking/Non-speaking order Neutral Citation: Yes/No GD To
