PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the Respondents 1 and 2 to consider and dispose of the Petitioner’s representation dated 27.08.2026 undertake a fair and objective threat perception and security assessment, conduct the requisite police verification and forward the Police Report to the competent Licensing Authority for consideration of the Petitioner’s application for Arms Licence under the Arms Act, 1959 and the Arms Rules, 2016.

ORDER
After submitting representation dated 27.08.2026 for issuance of an Arms Licence, the petitioner has approached this Court for a direction.
2. Mr.S.Iniyan Karthik, learned Government Advocate, accepts notice for the first respondent. Mr.R.Mohamed Riyaz, learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side), accepts notice for the second respondent.
3. Learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) for the second respondent has handed over a copy of the communication dated 02.10.2026 stating that the application was not considered due to non- submission of necessary documents as per Rule 11 of the Arms Rules, 2016.
4. In view thereof, this Writ Petition is disposed of by leaving it open to the petitioner to apply along with the documents specified in __________
