PRAYER: Writ Petition, filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this court to issue a Writ of MANDAMUS, directing the Respondents 1 to 3 to initiate appropriate action for removal of encroachment made in the temple premises, by conducting a survey in the temple temple, situated in Survey No, 74/5A, admeasuring 29 Cents, Nadupatti Village, Keeranur, Manapparai Taluk, Trichy District, within a stipulated time frame to be fixed by this Honble Court, pursuant to the Petitioners representation dated 27.01.2025.

ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by G.R.Swaminathan J.) Heard the learned counsel for the writ petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents 1 to 3.
2. The petitioner is a resident of Keeranur Village. According to him, there are encroachments in the petition mentioned survey number. He wants the same to be removed.
3. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Special Government Pleader produced copies of the UDR. It is seen therefrom
WP(MD) No. 29927 of 2026 that the petition mentioned survey number has been subdivided into three and they stand in the name of private persons. Since S.No.74/5A now happens to be a patta land, no direction can be issued as prayed for by the writ petitioner.
