PRAYER: S-3.Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Certiorari calling for the records relating to the impugned order in Ku.No.
1165/742/ThaPo/Pa/MaDhu/MuNiA/NiPiYe4/Ye41/2025, dated 20.02.2025 passed by the 2nd respondent herein and quash the same and pass such other or further orders as this Honble Court may deem fit and proper in the circumstances of this case and thus render justice.

O R D E R
The petitioner, who is working as an Assistant Administrative Officer at TANGEDCO, Power House, Subramaniyapuram, Madurai has been transferred to Sivagangai Electricity Distribution Circle, by an order of transfer dated 20.02.2025. Challenging the same, the petitioner has filed this writ petition.
2. This Court, in earlier occasion has observed that though certain allegations have been made as against this petitioner, he has been transferred, without providing an opportunity to him to putforth his case regarding the allegations. With such observation, this Court has granted an order of interim stay, by its order, dated 24.02.2025.
3. Today(15.10.2026), when this writ petition is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel on either side submit that pursuant to the interim order granted by this Court, the petitioner continues to work in the same place, and at present, the vacancy at Sivagangai, to which place, he was transferred, has also been filled up with another individual.
4. In view of the subsequent development and the manner, in which, the petitioner was transferred without conducting any enquiry on the alleged allegations, this Court is inclined to interfere with the order of transfer.
5. Accordingly, this writ petition is allowed. The impugned order of transfer is hereby set aside. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous petitions are closed. 15-10-2026 Index: Yes/No Speaking/Non-speaking order Neutral Citation: Yes/No VRN
