O R D E R
(Order of the Court was made by S.M.Subramaniam,J.) This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the Respondents 1 to 5 herein to remove the encroachment made in and over the Government Odai Poramboke land (Water body) comprised in Survey Nos.117, 118 and 118/4 situated at Kanagoor Village, Porachakurichi Post, Kallakurichi Taluk and District by the 6th respondent herein, so as to enable free water flow in the said Odai Poramboke land within a limited time framed by this Court by considering the petitioner's representation dated 13.11.2017, 18.09.2017, 20.01.2020 and 24.02.2020.
2. Learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for R1 to R4 would submit that Authorities have proposed to conduct enquiry on 23.10.2026. The petitioner has averred in the affidavit that encroachments are made in water body.

3. Thus, Authorities are bound to conduct survey, identify encroachments, if any in water body or Government Poromboke land and thereafter, initiate enforcement action by following procedures as contemplated under the relevant Statute and Rules in force. In view of the fact that survey is proposed to be conducted on 23.10.2026, Official respondents 1 to 5 are directed to complete survey and identify encroachments in water body or Government Poromboke land, if any and thereafter proceed with the enforcement action against encroachers. The entire exercise is directed to be completed within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. With the above direction, the present Writ Petition is disposed of.
