PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to issue work order for Scaffolding and Panchavarnam Works and Water Wash and Painting Works in Arulmigu Semanagar Vadivelavar at Subramania Swamy Temple situated at Konnapattu, Thirumayam Taluk, Pudukkottai District by considering the petitioner's representation dated 31.08.2026 within the time stipulated by this Court.

ORDER
After submitting representation dated 31.08.2026 for issuance of a work order for undertaking works relating to Arulmigu Semanagar Vadivelavar Subramania Swamy Temple situated at Konnapattu, Thirumayam Taluk, Pudukkottai District, the petitioner has approached this Court for a mandamus in that regard.
2. Mr.Sankara Vyasan, learned counsel, appears on behalf of the villagers. He submits that the petitioner is not a Hereditary Trustee of the temple. He also submits that W.P.(MD) No.8731 of 2026 is pending on the file of this Court.
3. The present Writ Petition was filed pursuant to reports of the Regional Level Expert Committee and State Level Expert Committee and also based on an administrative order and an estimate approval dated 16.09.2026. __________

4. Accepting notice on behalf of the respondents, Mr.R.Parthiban, learned Special Government Pleader, submits that the work order would be issued within 4 weeks.
5. The scope of the present Writ Petition is limited to undertakings of scaffolding and panchavarnam works and water wash and painting works at the temple. It is open to the intervening villagers to work out their remedies in pending proceedings or by initiating other appropriate proceedings with regard to the rights of the petitioner as a Hereditary Trustee.
6. With these observations, this Writ Petition is disposed of by directing the second respondent to issue the work order within 4 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs. 14-10-2026 Index: No Speaking Neutral Citation: No JEN To
