ORDER

The petitioner states that he is a resident of R.S.K,P.Road. Asserting that the respondents are undertaking road construction on said road in disregard of standard engineering specifications, the petitioner has approached this Court for a direction to carry out the said road construction only after undertaking milling and requisite material quality tests.

2. Mr.R.Parthiban, learned Special Government Pleader, accepts notice for respondents 1, 2 and 5. Mr.M.Rajarajan, learned Standing Counsel, accepts notice for respondents 3 and 4.

3. Learned Standing Counsel for respondents 3 and 4 submits that

WP(MD) No. 29481 of 2026 instructions have been given to carry out milling before the road laying activity. Although the estimate in relation to the contract does not specify milling activity, it is submitted that such milling activity would be carried out before road laying. This statement is recorded as an undertaking to the Court. The fourth respondent is present in person in Court and the above undertaking was provided by him.

4. Thus, the primary grievance of the petitioner stands allayed by the undertaking. Recording the same, this Writ Petition is disposed of. It is open to the petitioner to canvass other grievances in an appropriate manner. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. 14-10-2026 Index: Yes/No Speaking/Non-speaking order Neutral Citation: Yes/No apd
