ORDER
Claiming to be a descendant and legal heir of the erstwhile Zamindari family of Ramanathapuram Village, the petitioner applied for copies of the Old Settlement Register and Resettlement Land Register pertaining to the survey numbers mentioned in the prayer of this Writ Petition. Alleging that the said request was not acted upon, the present petition is instituted.
2. Accepting notice for the respondents, Mr.R.Parthiban, learned Special Government Pleader submits that an application should be made under the Right to Information Act, 2005, before the appropriate authority. He has handed over a copy of the communication dated 23.12.2015 indicating the appropriate authorities.
3. By leaving it open to the petitioner to lodge an application before the appropriate authority under the Right to Information Act, this
