PRAYER: Writ Petition, filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this court to issue a Writ of MANDAMUS directing the respondents to forthwith issue timing permit for operating mini bus pursuant to the new mini bus permit issued by the 1st Respondent in his proceedings in R.No.10484/A1/2026 dt. 14.03.2026 for the route commencing from Vadachery Christopher Bus Stand to Vellamodi Uykattu Sudalaimadaswamy koil Bus Stop and consequential proceedings in R.No.11047/A1/2026 dt. 14.03.26 the route commencing from Vellamodi Uykattu Sudalaimadaswamy Koil Bus Stop to Vadachery Christopher Bus Stand by considering the petitioner’s representation dated 02.07.2026.

ORDER
The petitioner obtained mini bus permits in relation to two vehicles and routes on 14.03.2026. Asserting that the timing permit for operating said minibuses was not granted, the present Writ Petition has been instituted.
2. Accepting notice on behalf of the respondents, Mr.S.Iniyan Karthik, learned Government Advocate, submits that W.P. (MD) Nos. 14112 and 14131 of 2026 were filed by a rival minibus operator and that this Court disposed of the said Writ Petitions by directing that the objections of the petitioners therein be considered. It is submitted that an inquiry is scheduled on 26.10.2026 and that the petitioner's request would be disposed of thereafter.
3. The record shows that the sanction permit was issued on 14.03.2026. Several months have elapsed thereafter. Considering these aspects, the first respondent is directed to conclude the inquiry and pass
WP(MD) No. 29508 of 2026 orders on the request for the timing permit within thirty (30) days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
