ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by G.R.Swaminathan J.) Heard both sides.

2. The petitioner is a resident of Krishna Rajapuram Colony in Manamadurai Town and Taluk. It is seen that the petition mentioned survey number stands in the name of a temple. The respondents 6 to 10 appear to be associated with the said temple. According to the learned counsel for the private respondents, only Annadanam is taking place therein and that it is not a commercial venture. He also would add that the __________

WP(MD) No. 22179 of 2026 private respondents do not make any claim for themselves. The learned counsel would add that the building would stand only in the name of the temple. It is conceded that no prior approval has been obtained. Therefore, the private respondents would not be justified in carrying on any further activities in respect of the said construction. The position as on date shall be maintained. We grant liberty to the private respondents to approach the local body or any other competent authority for regularization. The construction works can resume only after approval is obtained from the competent authority.
