ORDER

The present petition has been filed by the appellant in Crl.A.No.252 of 2025 on the file of District and Sessions Court, Karur, seeking extension of time for complying with the order passed in Crl.M.P.No.11691 of 2025 dated 13.10.2025.

2. It could be seen from the records that the petitioner had suffered an order of conviction and sentence in STC No.266 of 2022 on the file of Judicial Magistrate, Fast Track Court, Karur, dated 18.09.2025. The same order was put to challenge by the petitioner in Crl.A.No.252 of 2025 before District and Sessions Court, Karur. Along with the appeal, the petitioner had filed a petition in Crl.M.P.No.1691 of 2025 seeking suspension of sentence and the same was allowed on 13.10.2025 directing the petitioner to deposit 25% of the compensation amount before the trial Court within a period of 60 days. The petitioner had not deposited the same and the present application has been filed seeking time to deposit the same.

3. According to the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, there was a compromise talk between the parties and therefore, the amount was not deposited before the trial Court. He further submits

CRL OP(MD) No. 23280 of 2026 that he is ready to deposit the same within a period of one week.

4. In such view of the matter, there shall be a direction to the petitioner to deposit Rs.2,50,000/- (Rupees Two Lakhs and Fifty Thousand only) on or before 26.10.2026 before the trial Court. On such deposit being made, the learned Judicial Magistrate, Fast Track Court, Karur is directed to accept the same and report compliance before the appellate Court.

5. With the aforesaid observations, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of. 12-10-2026 Index: Yes/No Speaking/Non-speaking order Neutral Citation: Yes/No PNM To The Judicial Magistrate, Fast Track Court, Karur
