3. However, the office of the District Munsif Court, Madurai, has returned the plaint several times from 06/07/2026 onwards. Even the last return dated 11/08/2026 contained a query as to “how the suit is

CRP(MD)No.2654 of 2026 maintainable in a representative capacity as against the President of Iympathoor Pattathu Devangar Nirvagasabai of Devanga Chettiar Community”. The said query was answered by the plaintiff by citing the order passed by this Court in C.R.P.(MD) Nos.581 and 747 of 2016 and the plaint was re-presented on 14/08/2026. However, the plaint was again returned with an endorsement stating that “still the returned endorsement dated 11/08/2026 holds good”, without raising any other ground.
4. The suit has been pending for numbering for almost two months. The office of the trial Court, instead of numbering the suit, has been repeatedly returning the plaint by raising queries one after another. Even after the queries were duly answered by the plaintiff, the suit has not been numbered.
5. On perusal of the returns, it is seen that the revision petitioner has substantially answered all the queries raised by the office of the trial Court. However, the office of the trial Court has not yet numbered the suit. Therefore, this Court directed the learned District Munsif, Madurai, to submit a report explaining the reasons for the repeated returns and posted the matter to 09/10/2026 for the report of the learned District
