Prayer : Writ Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for a Writ of Mandamus directing the Respondents 1 to 7 directing them to restore the water pipe line run several kilo meter distance covering Devadhanam Village and its surrounding in Survey No.117/1 by removing the illegal encroachment of the 8th Respondent and also restraining him from conducting marriages, giving predictions and for movie shooting etc. where the land is meant for the burial ground situate at Tiruvallur District, Ponneri Taluk, No.79, Minjoor Panchayat Union, Devathanam Village, Comprised in Survey No.117/1
measuring an area of 1.16.5 acres.

Order
(Order of the Court was made by S.M.Subramaniam J.) Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that a portion of the burial ground has been encroached upon and the complaint made by the petitioner was not responded. Thus, this Court on an earlier occasion issued a direction to remove the encroachment. Despite the orders, no further actions are initiated.
2. Learned Government Advocate on instructions would submit that appropriate actions will be initiated to remove the encroachment from the burial ground area. The Block Development Officer has already identified the encroachments and therefore, they will issue notice to the encroachers and remove the encroachments within a short span of time.
3. In view of the above submission, the official respondents are directed to continue the enforcement actions and remove the encroachments by following the procedures as contemplated under the relevant Statutes and Rules in force. The Revenue authorities viz., the Block Development Officer and the police authorities are directed to coordinate for removal of encroachments. The entire exercise is directed to be completed within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
