PRAYER:
Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the Respondents to pass appropriate orders on the petitioners application dated 16.04.2026 for conducting the survey and fixing boundaries in the conjoint area in respect of property in the North Pudhur Village Field Map relating to S.Nos.751 and 752 and in the Sankarankovil Town Survey Records/Map relating to T.S.Nos.6/11, 6/12, 6/14 and connected survey numbers and in the Kalappakulam Village Field Map relating to S.No.601 as per geological survey within the time stipulated fixed by this Court.

ORDER
Heard learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for Respondents 1 to 4.
2. Considering the limited sought for in the Writ Petition, notice to the 5th respondent is dispensed with.
3. This Writ Petition is filed for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the Respondents to pass appropriate orders on the petitioner's application dated 16.04.2026 for conducting the survey and fixing boundaries in the conjoint area in respect of property in the North Pudhur Village Field Map relating to S.Nos.751 and 752 and in the Sankarankovil Town Survey Records/Map relating to T.S.Nos.6/11, 6/12, 6/14 and connected survey numbers and in the Kalappakulam Village Field Map relating to S.No.601 as per geological survey.
4. Even though the petitioner has approached this Court seeking a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to survey the property based on his representation dated 16.04.2026, a procedure
WP(MD) No. 29397 of 2026 has been prescribed for submitting an online application in respect of the subject matter of the present writ petition. Accordingly, the petitioner is directed to submit an online application before the 3rd respondent. Upon receipt of such application, the 3rd respondent is directed to consider the same and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, the 5th respondent, and other interested persons, if any, in accordance with the provisions of Sections 9 and 10 of the Tamil Nadu Survey and Boundaries Act, 1923.
5. It is made clear that the order passed and the proceedings undertaken pursuant thereto would not confer any right to possession of the property if the same is in the hands of third parties.
