ORDER
When the contempt petition is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents submits that the respondents have complied with the order of this Court in W.P.No.2939 of 2019 dated 10.11.2025, by issuing G.O.2(D).No.153 Environment, Climate Change and Forests (FR.2(ii)) Department, dated 07.10.2026, granting permission to include the name of the petitioner in the State-wise seniority list for promotion to the post of Plot Watchers/Social Forestry Workers based on his initial appointment and also to appoint him as Forest Watcher as per the Rules, eligibility and seniority, subject to the outcome of the writ appeal.
2. By submitting as above, the learned Government Advocate has placed before this Court a copy of the aforesaid G.O. The same is taken on record.
3. In view of the above submission and the facts as noted herein above, the Government having issued the Government Order granting seniority to the petitioner and also directing for the appointment of the petitioner to the post of Plot Watcher, the respondents have substantially complied with the order of this Court and thus, there is no necessity to proceed further with the present contempt petition.
